The Naked Sun - The Key Studio Sessions Download

Photo by Kate McCann

Members: singer/songwriter Drew Harris, bassist Eric Budesa, guitarist Tim Campbell, and drummer Dave Gladney.

Last summer, South Jersey five-piece The Naked Sun stormed the World Cafe Live stage with a rousing set of rambling rock and roll tunes at the Beta Hi-Fi Competition. Since then, the band has played a bit more to the subdued side of the musical spectrum. A trumpet player and saxophonist backed up the group, adding to their richly-arranged new songs on this February '13 live session. The set draws mostly from their debut EP Space, Place, and Time.

In April of this year they released their EP Space, Place, and Time, Eric at Philly's popular blog, Bucket Full of Nails says;
"The constant that runs throughout Space, Place, and Time is the dynamic between verse and chorus. With only four songs — the structure of each being different — marked verses tend to be on the subtler side, with rising choruses serving to accentuate the human condition. Repetition drives these songs. The rhythmic patterns lend themselves to the reality of our own existence" Read the review here
